Sun King

Greenlight Planet is a company on a mission to deliver safe, clean, and inexpensive energy to the two billion people in the world without access to electricity. Originally designed to serve rural India, Sun King solar lamps are now used by more than 10 million people in more than 30 countries. The challenge was to launch the Sun King to a U.S. consumer that did not understand how a solar lamp created for countries without electricity could fit into their lives. Using aspirational, lifestyle-driven graphics and language in the design re-enforces a rugged and useful tool ready for an outdoor lifestyle.
